Centred on Shuswap Lake and the City of Salmon Arm, the region is known for boating, beaches and rail trail cycling, while Sicamous is the houseboat capital. Revelstoke adds a lively mountain town with lift access skiing and hiking, plus heritage streets and a strong community feel.

Blind Bay
We get classic lake living here with water everywhere we look and Copper Island in view. Boating, paddling and beach time fill long summer days, and quiet roads make evening walks easy. A car is essential for errands and trips to nearby centres.
Eagle Bay
Along the south shore, Eagle Bay feels secluded and scenic with boat access and quiet forest around us. It is popular in summer when the lake is warm and days stretch long. Everyday shopping is limited, so we rely on Sorrento or Blind Bay for most errands.
North Shuswap
From Scotch Creek and Celista to Magna Bay and Anglemont, this area trades bustle for room to breathe. We spend time on the water, on backroads and on trails that stay peaceful even in peak season. Communities are dispersed, so a vehicle is a must for services.
Revelstoke
This mountain city follows the Columbia River and pairs a lively core with instant access to nature. In winter we have skiing, snowboarding and snowshoeing, and in summer it is hiking, biking and sightseeing. Most errands are walkable or cyclable in the centre, with a car helpful for trips further out.
Salmon Arm
Set on Shuswap Lake with a walkable centre, Salmon Arm brings shops, cafés, schools and health care together with parks, beaches and the wharf. Okanagan College, the rail trail and nearby trailheads make active days simple in every season, and community events keep the calendar busy.
Shuswap, Anstey and Seymour
North of Sicamous and east of Eagle Bay, this is where cabins and quiet pockets meet big lake scenery. Seymour Arm has a small core with a pub and marina, and the rest is pure outdoor time. Settlements are isolated, so we always travel by car for supplies and appointments.
Sicamous
Between Salmon Arm and Revelstoke, Sicamous is all about lakes, houseboats and forested day trips. The community spirit shows in local events and a calendar that stays busy year round. Essentials are in town, while a car makes it easy to reach larger services nearby.
Sorrento
Set on the Trans Canada with Shuswap Lake at the doorstep, Sorrento balances small town ease with good access. Resorts and beaches keep summer lively, and trails and viewpoints are close in every season. We cover many needs locally and drive for bigger shops.
Tappen and Sunnybrae
These neighbouring spots sit close to the lake and come alive in warmer months. Parks, small beaches and nearby trails keep weekends outdoors, while Highway 1 makes travel simple. Homes are spread out, so we plan errands and use Salmon Arm for most services.
